Match Day 2 of Youths U14 South B

A special mention before the report to all the volunteers who lined and got Ballyviniter pitch ready for todays match.

Match kicks off on a beautiful Saturday morning at 11am, after a week of rain the pitch is in great shape, a perfect morning for rugby.

3 minutes in, a perfect start for Mallow  with a try in the corner for Number 6 Jack Corcoran, a difficult conversion missed.

Mallow 5 Fermoy 0

On the 6th and 9th minutes mark 2 more tries out in the corner by Number 8 Donnacha Collins and 13 Darragh Carroll, both players left to run under the sticks to touch down. Both conversions put over the bar by number 10 Tommy O'Sullivan.

Mallow 19 Fermoy 0

For the next 9 minutes Fermoy tried hard to get back into the game , and had Malllow back in they're 22, pressure finally broke and Fermoy got the reward with a try on the 18th minute,  missed the conversion.

Mallow replied in kind and showed great sprit on the 23rd minute to score, in the corner from Number 7 Jonathan O' Callaghan , another difficult conversion missed.

Half time:

Mallow started strong in the second half, 4 minutes in, try scored through the centre  by Number 18 Ryan O'Callaghan, conversion successful by Number 22 Diarmuid O'Riordan.

Mallow 31 Fermoy 5

Fermoy hit back again on the 11th minute of the second half  with they're own try through the centre and made the conversion.

Mallow finished the game out by scoring 2 more tries  from Number 4 Sean O'Halloran and Number 13 Darragh Carroll, both tries converted by Number 22 Diarmuid O'Riordan.

Mallow 45 Fermoy 12

On a day that turned out to be a great team performance , when every name should be mentioned.
