Thank You for Supporting our Festival Again This Year!

Mallow RFC in conjunction with the Mallow Babarians held their annual Adapted Tag Competition in the Town Park on Saturday last. Despite some monsoon like rains on the eve of the Competition and a really wet forecast for the day itself it was a huge success. We were very grateful to both Mallow GAA and Mallow United for the continued use of their facilities.

We were delighted to welcome the Bantry Jesters again this year who played off against our very own Mallow Babarians. The level of competition was high with some dazzling and scintillating skills on display and at the end of the day the spoils were shared. We hope you can join us again next year.

We had 12 teams and over 120 players competing over 69 games and at the end the day Jimmy’s Gems emerged victorious in the Cup Competition, The BGs in the Plate Competition and Proplife in the Bowl Competition. A massive thank you to all the teams for taking part this year and making it such a great day. A great night was had by all at the Après Tag in Alberts Bar, where the winning captain, Jimmy Glynn, was presented with the perpetual Brendan Glynn Cup. We were delighted to have Brendan himself there on the night to present the Trophy.

A special word of thanks goes to our main sponsor Séan Hayes and his company MTD Precision Engineering in Little Island. MTD excel at creating and delivering engineering products and solutions to manufacturing and research teams in the life sciences sector.

Other sponsors on the day include: VASS Motor Works,The Arches Bar, Alberts Bar, Mallow Speedy Clean, The Lions Den, Mallow Fitness Solutions, Mallow Credit Union, Tria Oil, Profile Fashions, The Wild Goose, Cavanaghs Car Sales and F.J. Forde & Co Accountants and Auditors.

And lastly to all the volunteers who made the day possible. From pitchmarkers to referees and from short sellers to rubbish collectors you all had massive part to play in a wonderful event. Mallow ABÚ!
