Mallow unlucky against city opponents

Mallow travelled to Highfield in the Junior Cup having overcome Shandon in the previous round. This was a break from the intense league campaign so Mallow were able to rest players and blood some of their younger guns.
The sides were level 5-5 at half time with Michael Cummins scoring a try for Highfield and Neil McSherry replying for Mallow.
Two second half penalties by John Sheehan helped Highfield to an 11-5 victory
Mallow were very happy with their performance taking away many positives before they resume there league campaign this weekend.
