Mallow Progress in Junior Cup

30/01/10 Shandon 0 - 31 Mallow Whitechurch Karl Llewellyn (M.A.R.)
In the last remaining First Round tie Mallow defeated Shandon 31-0 at Whitechurch and will now face Highfield in the next round.
This was the North Cork side’s second victory over Shandon this season as they put up forty-four points without reply against the same opposition in their Leagu meeting at St. Joseph’s Road in the last series of League games before Christmas.
Neil McSherry, Rory McSherry, Dave Walsh, Leonard Browne and Liam Kelleher all scored tries for the winners and Brian Morris kicked three conversions.

31/01/2010 12:00 Ballincollig 6 - 3 Mallow Tanner Park Dan Casey (M.A.R.)

Mallow 2nds XV narrowly missed out on taking top spot in the race for J2 promotion going down by a margin of 3 points to a very experienced Ballincollig side. Mallows young team showed great heart and determination and were very unlucky not to at least claim a draw.
After a tough and somewhat frustrating league campaign, Mallow 2nds XV have now gained promotion to the J2 league. Congratulations to all involved, especially the Players and Coaches Ian Vaughan and John Barry.
